It was an interesting film because it is different from the movies that we usually watch on tv or at the cinema. The plot was quite complicated and it was difficult for us to understand it sometimes because it was so symbolic. The photography was beautiful because it takes you into the film's enviroment of distress and the music helps this too. The performance is terrible, especially the kids, who are the ones that usually have difficulty to act. The preacher does it very good because he is constantly showing two faces and both of them are believable. The symbolism and criticism of religion is really accurate and makes you think. It shows you the two faces of religion: the vengeful and hater side with the preacher; and the kind and merciful side with the woman that adopt children and give them love. The wrong interpretation of religion, when you pick the side of the preacher, makes that all the crime and violence because of regligiopus believes happen.
FAV. SCENE 1: When the father is caught by the police and hides the money into de doll, only telling them where is it because it represents that the father didn't believed in the mother really and with this we know he stoled the bank because he wanted to give a better life to his childrens.
FAV. SCENE 2: When the two kids are sleeping in the stable and the preacher comes with the horse singing his song. I like it because it represents the evil part of the man and I love the gloomy enviroment and the quote of: “Doesn't he ever sleep?” Because it's like the evil never sleep.

SCENES: The scenes that we liked the most are: The first one is when their father gaves them the money he had stolen and told them that they had to keep it and don't tell anyone. We like it because the father stole the money to his children, with the money they don't have to be hungry and they can study too. The second one when they go down the river because they don't want the preacher caught them. Because the river represent the salvation and in the river the preacher can't caught them. We like the scene because the photograph too.
PERSONAL OPINION: We think that this is an interesting and a entretaining film. It's a differnt film from the other ones and we think that maybe we didn't see it without this class. We think that it's a recomendable film because you don't know what is going to happen at any time.

PERSONAL OPINION.
In our opinion, this film is a classic and maybe not for our age, but however, it is interesting for us. Apart of being in black and white, we have been intrigued all the time: all the scenes were perfect, with a little bit of terror and mystery. The children's perfomances are great in spite of their age. Besides, the owl-faced girl transmits horror. We love the scene where the preacher reaches the children at the stable, because the shot that the director uses, plays with the light effects: Harry Powell appears singing the “Leaning” song, and we can see the fear in Jonh's face. Our second favorite scene is when Powell enters in the children's protector house, while she is waiting for him in the porch with a gun. Later, she decides to shoot him, and the police come for arresting Powell.

OPINION: We think that it is a movie goes beyond his time because it was realesed in 1955 and it has bad critics and 10 years later the film started to have followers. We love the scene when the children's protector go out with a shotgun and shot the preacher. It makes us laugh when she said I'M A STRONG AND AN INDEPENDENT WOMEN but, it has a strong massage also. It is that the women can protect the children from the preacher. Also, we like the scene when the children were slepping at the stable and in the background the preacher appears singing his song.

REVIEW: We like the film because it was a interesting story that have bad and nice scenes, it was emotional and for that year it was created it was well done. The characters were good and they felt their job that were performing. Some scenes were funny like when the preacher is shoted and he ran shouting to the garage. Our favourite scenes are when the preache and the old woman were singing a song in the garden ans she had a shotgun. Also the scene of when the kids were chase by the preacher and they close the door of the basement in his face.

PERSONAL OPINION The film is a bit strange and it doesn't like us very much. The photografy wasn't very real and we don't understand some parts of the film yet. But the music was very good.

Karen: My favourite scenes is when the woman found the children and take them to her home. Also i like the scene when the preacher was in the old woman´s house singing his song and the old woman continued singing the rest of the song while she sat in the rocking chair with the rifle. OPINION:
One of my favourites scenes is when the preacher appeared at childrens home and he started to sang because that's an evil song and that's give some mistery. Other of my favourites scene is when at the end of the film, the police caughted the preacher because I think that the two children deserve a happy end because they hadn't got a good live after their father died and before the old woman take them into her house to live with them.
In my opinion, this film is interesting, and I must recognize that at first, I think that I won't like the film but is one of the most interesting films that we see while we start the course. The preacher had two tattoos, in one hand, he had hate and in the other hand he had love, and he always told the same story about their tattoos to the woman that he wants to get married.

Our favourite scene is when we see the mother in the car under the river like an acuatic plant.And the second favourite scene is when the woman shoot the preacher.
We have liked the film but we think it´s very old and we don´t like watch films in black and white. The scenes and sound have a bad quality.
We enjoyed the film a lot because it has a very interesting history, it has a good scenography like the films of Hitckock. It's a very good thriller that it has a lot of elements that it makes you to stay in a constant attention. It also had a very good soundtrack like the song of Leaning or Pearl's song.
Our favourite scenes are those:
When Little John and Pearl are in his room and he started telling her a story and suddenly the shadow of the preacher appears in the wall of the room, and he started singing that song called Leaning, that's very creepy. The other scene that we liked is when Uncle Birddie is trying to fish in the lake and his fishing rod got stuck in something and when he looked he saw Willa in the car, it's a very good and creepy scene because her hair is waving under the water like the aquatic plants and we can see the injury in her neck like an extra mouth.

It was an interesting film because it is different from the movies that we usually watch on tv or at the cinema. The plot was quite complicated and it was difficult for us to understand it sometimes because it was so symbolic. The photography was beautiful because it takes you into the film's enviroment of distress and the music helps this too. The performance is terrible, especially the kids, who are the ones that usually have difficulty to act. The preacher does it very good because he is constantly showing two faces and both of them are believable. The symbolism and criticism of religion is really accurate and makes you think. It shows you the two faces of religion: the vengeful and hater side with the preacher; and the kind and merciful side with the woman that adopt children and give them love. The wrong interpretation of religion, when you pick the side of the preacher, makes that all the crime and violence because of regligiopus believes happen.
FAV. SCENE 1: When the father is caught by the police and hides the money into de doll, only telling them where is it because it represents that the father didn't believed in the mother really and with this we know he stoled the bank because he wanted to give a better life to his childrens.
FAV. SCENE 2: When the two kids are sleeping in the stable and the preacher comes with the horse singing his song. I like it because it represents the evil part of the man and I love the gloomy enviroment and the quote of: “Doesn't he ever sleep?” Because it's like the evil never sleep.

SCENES:
The scenes that we liked the most are: The first one is when their father gaves them the money he had stolen and told them that they had to keep it and don't tell anyone. We like it because the father stole the money to his children, with the money they don't have to be hungry and they can study too.
The second one when they go down the river because they don't want the preacher caught them.
Because the river represent the salvation and in the river the preacher can't caught them. We like the scene because the photograph too.
PERSONAL OPINION:
We think that this is an interesting and a entretaining film. It's a differnt film from the other ones and we think that maybe we didn't see it without this class.
We think that it's a recomendable film because you don't know what is going to happen at any time.

PERSONAL OPINION.
In our opinion, this film is a classic and maybe not for our age, but however, it is interesting for us.
Apart of being in black and white, we have been intrigued all the time: all the scenes were perfect, with a little bit of terror and mystery.
The children's perfomances are great in spite of their age. Besides, the owl-faced girl transmits horror.
We love the scene where the preacher reaches the children at the stable, because the shot that the director uses, plays with the light effects: Harry Powell appears singing the “Leaning” song, and we can see the fear in Jonh's face.
Our second favorite scene is when Powell enters in the children's protector house, while she is waiting for him in the porch with a gun. Later, she decides to shoot him, and the police come for arresting Powell.

OPINION:
We think that it is a movie goes beyond his time because it was realesed in 1955 and it has bad critics and 10 years later the film started to have followers.
We love the scene when the children's protector go out with a shotgun and shot the preacher. It makes us laugh when she said I'M A STRONG AND AN INDEPENDENT WOMEN but, it has a strong massage also. It is that the women can protect the children from the preacher.
Also, we like the scene when the children were slepping at the stable and in the background the preacher appears singing his song.

REVIEW:
We like the film because it was a interesting story that have bad and nice scenes, it was emotional and for that year it was created it was well done. The characters were good and they felt their job that were performing. Some scenes were funny like when the preacher is shoted and he ran shouting to the garage.
Our favourite scenes are when the preache and the old woman were singing a song in the garden ans she had a shotgun. Also the scene of when the kids were chase by the preacher and they close the door of the basement in his face.

The film is a bit strange and it doesn't like us very much. The photografy wasn't very real and we don't understand some parts of the film yet. But the music was very good.

When the preacher goes to John and Pearl's new house, he says that he's the father but when John look at the woman, she knows that it isn't true.

REVIEW OF TWO OF OUR FAVOURITE SCENES.
Karen: My favourite scenes is when the woman found the children and take them to her home.
Also i like the scene when the preacher was in the old woman´s house singing his song and the old woman continued singing the rest of the song while she sat in the rocking chair with the rifle.
Katie:My favorite scene was when all of the kids where in the house and the old woman was protecting them with her gun and then when the preacher game in the house and she shoots the preacher.

OPINION:
One of my favourites scenes is when the preacher appeared at childrens home and he started to sang because that's an evil song and that's give some mistery.
Other of my favourites scene is when at the end of the film, the police caughted the preacher because I think that the two children deserve a happy end because they hadn't got a good live after their father died and before the old woman take them into her house to live with them.
In my opinion, this film is interesting, and I must recognize that at first, I think that I won't like the film but is one of the most interesting films that we see while we start the course. The preacher had two tattoos, in one hand, he had hate and in the other hand he had love, and he always told the same story about their tattoos to the woman that he wants to get married.

We enjoyed the film a lot because it has a very interesting history, it has a good scenography like the films of Hitckock. It's a very good thriller that it has a lot of elements that it makes you to stay in a constant attention. It also had a very good soundtrack like the song of Leaning or Pearl's song.
Our favourite scenes are those:
When Little John and Pearl are in his room and he started telling her a story and suddenly the shadow of the preacher appears in the wall of the room, and he started singing that song called Leaning, that's very creepy.
The other scene that we liked is when Uncle Birddie is trying to fish in the lake and his fishing rod got stuck in something and when he looked he saw Willa in the car, it's a very good and creepy scene because her hair is waving under the water like the aquatic plants and we can see the injury in her neck like an extra mouth.
