    Synopsis

Ringo Starr, the drummer of the Beatles has it, sent to him by the victim, fan of the group. The ring is stuck on his finger and he can´t take it off. As a result, he and his bandmates are chased from London to the Austrian Alps and the Bahamas by religious cult members, a mad scientist and the London police.

Help has a witty script, a great cast of British character actors and great soundtrack. The colour of the film is funny, accentuated the comedy. It is the reflection of those happy innocent days, the absurd surrealistic British humour of those days.

The director Richard Lester said “I chose to do a Pop Art fantasy with the state of Britain in 1965, a pre-Vietnam, petrol wars society. Before the 1968 May riots, there was still in England a residue of good humour. The film seems innocent; society was innocent in some way. The songs were great and the filming was a pleasure”

Martin Scorsese has written “ The more you listen to the Beatles music, and we all listen to it a lot, the more you realise it possesses a singular beauty. They were always saying “isn´t it absurd how famous we´ve become?, but it is fun.
They were making all this beautiful music and they seemed to be having such a good time doing it. Everyone was experimenting around this time. The 60s atmosphere is abundant in this film. It was a happier time, which makes you wonder why we are not as happy now after 45 years of development.
